King’s Inns Lecturer in Human Rights Law, Diploma in Legal Studies – deadline 19 June

The Honorable Society of King’s Inns requires a lecturer in Human Rights Law for its Diploma in Legal Studies.

The lecturer will be required to:

– Update and otherwise revise the Course Manual and other course materials;
– Deliver lectures and tutorials in Human Rights Law;
– Draft and correct examinations, assignments, and homework;
– Use e–learning software as directed by the King’s Inns; this will include facilitating the recording of the lecturer’s own teaching for use in distance learning; the copyright of these recordings will be retained by the King’s Inns; and
– Act as “subject leader” for Human Rights Law and supervise any other tutors in the subject.

The successful candidate will:
– Be a practising barrister with experience in Human Rights Law; and
– Possess experience of teaching Law at third level or above, preferably in the area of Human Rights Law.

Diploma classes generally take place on Monday–Thursday (when classes begin at 5.45 p.m., with compulsory pre–tutorial meetings at 5.30 p.m.) and on Saturday mornings during academic terms. Michaelmas Term begins on Monday, September 18, 2017.
