On Wednesday march 5th, WISE (Women in Solidarity for Energy) will organise its first and only online pan-European Event: “Translating Women’s Rights to Energy across Europe”! It marks the end of their 28-day Translate-A-Thon activity and aims to bring together 200-300 people from all over Europe to discuss gender, energy poverty and women’s empowerment through the right to energy! How to translate the idea of “human right to basic affordable, clean energy” across different EU countries with attention to gender-sensitivities? Join the celebration and Europe-wide discussion, in 25 breakout sessions in English and other languages, on a range of topics such as human rights and gender-just energy transition, energy disconnections bans, the right to energy for students and young people, migrant and minority women, older women, women across Global North and South, household solid fuel use and pre-payment meters.
