FirstLight are seeking to recruit a Charity Trustee & Board member to join a dynamic Board.  This position is a voluntary role, and FirstLight are seeking an energetic and dedicated person with an interest in the values and objectives of our organisation. You will work with the Board and a staff team helping to provide strategic direction to our work.

FirstLight are developing a new Strategic & Business development plan and are seeking to strengthen their Board in 2025 to support the governance of their ambitious development plans.  This will include the 50th anniversary celebrations in 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with fellow Trustees and the staff team to support the development and implementation of a comprehensive development strategy aligned with FirstLight’s vision and goals.
• Have an empathy with FirstLight’s mission and objectives and a values-driven approach to work based on integrity and service.
• Possess the experience and skills necessary to guide the development of FirstLight in pursuit of the organisation’s mission.
• Commit to comply with the duties of a Director of FirstLight as set out in Statement of Directors’ Responsibility and fulfil the responsibilities of a Charity Trustee as described by the Charities Regulator
