The Legal Section of the CICC closely monitors the first steps of the International Criminal Court in building a credible functioning justice system and deliver on the promise of a fair, effective and independent Court.
The CICC Hague Secretariat has been training legal interns in its monitoring work, by attending and reporting on all ICC hearings. After review by a legal adviser, the reports are then sent out as informal notes to more than 200 organizations and interested individuals. Next to that, each intern works closely with a legal adviser on several varied legal research projects in the context of a fair, effective and independent Court.
