Are you a civil society organisation working in international aid and development cooperation but don’t know where to start with EU funding.
This free online event will introduce you to key EU funding programmes and outline steps to seize opportunities.
Designed for organisations looking to explore EU funding opportunities for international development projects, this session will break down the objectives of two major EU funding streams, highlight current open calls, and explain how your organisation can get involved.
DG INTPA (Directorate-General for International Partnerships) manages EU funding programmes that support projects in climate action, human rights, poverty reduction or job creation around the globe. Meanwhile, DG NEAR (Directorate-General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations) provides funding to strengthen partnerships with Eastern and Southern Neighbourhood countries of the EU, supporting sustainable development, economic integration, and democratic governance.
Nadine Peetz, Deputy Head of the EU Advisory Team at Engagement Global, will join us as an expert to provide knowledge and insights into both funding opportunities.
You’ll also hear first-hand from an Irish organisation that has successfully secured EU funding. They will share their experiences, challenges, and key lessons learned in implementing an EU-funded development project.
What to expect:
This event is a joint collaboration between The Wheel’s Access Europe programme and Engagement Global, Germany.
Access Europe is funded by the Department of Foreign Affairs.
