Community Foundation Ireland in partnership with Children’s Rights Alliance: Invest Now for Future Generations – Thursday 16th January – Online

SPECIAL LIVE EVENT: 2:00pm 16th January. Community Foundation Ireland in partnership with the Children’s Rights Alliance.

A timely and important discussion with the unique opportunity the Government have at their disposal to transform services supporting children and families as a result of the more than 13-Billion-Euro raised through what is known as the 'Apple Tax' case.

Children and young people’s issues are absent in the discussions on the use of the funds. This event aims to bring together thought leaders with diverse expertise for a high-level conversation at this critical juncture to encourage ambitious, visionary thinking on how we can use the money to invest strategically in our future through education and early years infrastructure.

We know we face a critical shortage in both sectors and economically, this investment will pay dividends in future years.

Speakers will include:

• (Chair) Denise Charlton - Chief Executive of Community Foundation Ireland

• Fintan O’Toole - Columnist with The Irish Times

• Professor Alan Barrett - Director of the Economic and Social Research Institute (ESRI)

• Dr Gráinne Collins - Policy Analyst at the National Economic and Social Council (NESC)

• Tanya Ward - Chief Executive of the Children’s Rights Alliance
