LauraLynn is seeking to recruit a Policy and Advocacy Manager to increase our advocacy capacity and play a critical role in driving change.

Title: Policy & Advocacy Manager

Hours: Part-time, 21 hours per week

Contract Type: 2-year fixed term contract

Salary/Grade: €54,548 - €66,642– Grade VI salary scale

Summary of the role:

As part of our new Advancing our Vision, Extending our Community of Care (2024-2028) strategic plan, LauraLynn is seeking to recruit a Policy and Advocacy Manager to increase our advocacy capacity and play a critical role in driving change, ensuring that our strategic objectives align with the broader healthcare landscape.

Working closely with the Head of Marketing and Communications and communications team, the Policy and Advocacy Manager will support the development and delivery of an ambitious advocacy strategy to advance our mission by shaping policies, influencing decision-makers, and advocating for the needs of children with life-limiting conditions and their families.

Essential Criteria - ideally the successful candidate will possess the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field e.g public policy, political science. 

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in policy, advocacy or related role. 

  • Experience of conducting healthcare policy research and/or advocacy campaigning. 

  • Experience working with government agencies, NGO’s or healthcare organisations.

  • Familiarity with legislative processes and policy development.
