Mercy Law Resource Centre (MLRC) is hosting a Conference on Mental Health, Social Housing Supports and Homelessness on 16 February 2023 from 9.30am – 1pm in the Dublin Dispute Resolution Centre, 145-151 Church Street, Dublin 7.
This multi-disciplinary conference will see legal experts, social work professionals and academic voices discuss issues facing people with mental health difficulties when accessing social housing supports.
The event will incorporate the launch of a new report by MLRC “Mental Health and Social Housing Supports”. The report centres around the lived experiences of people with mental health difficulties who have faced challenges in accessing suitable social housing supports or emergency homeless services, and the experiences of frontline workers supporting them, and frames these experiences in the policy and legal context. The aim of the report and conference is to produce practical proposals for change and spark a dialogue with key stakeholders.
Timetable and speakers to be announced shortly. For free registration, email events@mercylaw.ie.
2 CPD points will be awarded.
This project is supported by the Mental Health Grants Scheme 2022.
