The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Irish Centre for European Law (ICEL) are delighted to announce a virtual conference on the theme Environmental Law Enforcement: Emerging Challenges 2020.
The virtual conference will take place on Wednesday, 11 November 2020 from 9.00am to 1.15pm.The conference is open to all and free of charge.
Convened by Dr Tom Ryan (EPA) and Dr Áine Ryall (ICEL) and Centre for Law and the Environment UCC, the conference will consider a number of contemporary themes relating to environmental law enforcement including: Protecting the Natural Environment; the Role of Law in Climate Action; Environmental Impact Assessment; Environmental Liability Directive; and the idea of a Planning and Environmental Court.
