The PILS Project: Development Officer – closing date 4 August 2020

The PILS Project protects and promotes human rights and equality in Northern Ireland through the use of public interest litigation. It does this in a number of ways:

  • It provides legal and financial support to its NGO and solicitor members to bring public interest cases that will have a positive impact on vulnerable and disadvantaged people.
  • The Project facilitates co-ordination and information sharing among its members.
  • It seeks to build capacity in civil society and legal firms to engage in public interest litigation.
  • The Project also works to break down barriers to access to justice.

The Development Officer will work to secure improvements in the protection and promotion of human rights and equality in Northern Ireland. The post-holder will be the organisation’s key contact point, providing support for PILS members.
