The Immigrant Council of Ireland is a non-governmental organisation and Independent Law Centre which provides information, advice and legal representation to migrants and their families moving to or living in Ireland. The Immigrant Council’s aim is to directly assist migrants in navigating the Irish immigration system and, in turn, the organisation uses its experience and expertise to lobby for positive policy and legislative changes within the immigration system and associated areas.
The Immigrant Council of Ireland is currently seeking applications for the following position:
Title of position: Integration Officer
Reporting to: CEO of the Immigrant Council of Ireland through the Integration Team Coordinator
Location: 2 St Andrew St, Dublin 2
Start date: Immediately if possible, but no later than Monday, 4 November 2019
This is a fixed-term (6 month), part-time role (3 days per week, i.e. 21 hours per week excluding 1 hour lunch break daily), subject to funding. A one month probationary period applies.
The Integration Officer will have a key role in devising and implementing Immigrant Council of Ireland projects that promote migrant integration.
The Integration Officer will have as a key focus the promotion of political participation of migrants and supporting Local Authorities to develop and implement local migrant integration strategies.
The post will also involve continuing to strengthen the Immigrant Council’s networking capacity by maintaining existing relationships and contacts and building new relationships with relevant stakeholders, as well as facilitating consultation processes on various topics as directed by the Immigrant Council management and board.
