The harmful use of alcohol is the third leading risk factor for poor health globally. Alcohol kills 3.3 million people worldwide every year, and among people aged 20-39, alcohol is responsible for one third of all deaths. Alcohol abuse kills more people worldwide than AIDS, violence and tuberculosis combined.
Join the event on 4 May to hear from global experts from the United Nations Development Programme and IOGT international to learn about the ways in which alcohol and the activities of global alcohol industry act as a barrier to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals by 2030.
