Irish Rule of Law International is looking to hire a dynamic person as Programme Coordinator to support the technical and administrative management of its varied programme portfolio and to help the Executive Director in the overall administration of the organisation. Primary responsibilities will include programme management and support, engagement with legal volunteers and pro-bono lawyers, supporting fundraising as well as communication efforts and overall administrative support. Programme Lawyer, Malawi Judiciary – deadline 28th February 2017:
Irish Rule of Law International has an exciting volunteer opportunity for an International Programme Lawyer to join the dynamic team of our Access to Justice Programme in Malawi. IRLI has been working in Malawi since 2011 to address capacity challenge within the criminal justice sector, with the overall aim of promoting the rule of law and improving access to justice for unrepresented and particularly vulnerable persons. The Programme Lawyer will be seconded to the Malawi Judiciary and will be responsible for on-going capacity building of judges and magistrates and to develop linkages with the judiciary at both High Court and magistrate level. S/he will also assist in the processing of homicide cases and lower grade charged cases, work to improve case management systems and overall access to legal provisions and case law for judges and magistrates. The volunteer placement is for a minimum of 12 months. Deadline for application is the 28th of February.
