EPIC (Empowering Children in Care) is a non-profit organisation who work both with and on behalf of the 6000 children who are living in care in Ireland. EPIC operate a national advocacy service which seeks to ensure that the voices are children are heard in decisions affecting them. The organisation engage in research and policy campaigning, seeking to shape the direction of the organisation based on the views of the youth they engage with.
EPIC is recruiting a CEO who will lead this work, developing and building on the established platform the organisation has achieved in the past eleven years. The right candidate will become an important spokesperson for the rights of young people in care and will drive a successful campaign to improve the current system, reforming the entire experience of State care in Ireland.
Applicants should be enthusiastic, proven leaders, who have a working knowledge of the operations of the Irish State care system, and hold a minimum of three years of senior managerial experience. The role will begin from late 2016.
