Child Poverty Action Group (CPAG) is seeking a Legal Officer to cover for one year on a fixed term contract while the existing officer is on sabbatical leave. CPAG works on behalf of children in poverty in the UK. The role involves taking test cases against governmental bodies challenging income maintenance and social security issues, giving legal advice to welfare rights workers and taking part in CPAG’s campaign work.
The candidate must hold a legal qualification as a solicitor or barrister and have 3 years work experience in public law, post qualification. It will involve a 35 hour working week with an income of £39, 244. The deadline for this position is at 12pm on the 5th of July, and interviews will be held on the 14th of July.
