The DCA Warriors, an advocacy group supporting parents of children with special needs in their efforts to apply for the Domiciliary Care Allowance and other related social welfare benefits, have released a policy document in advance of the 2016 General Election. The document, drafted in partnership with law firm KOD Lyons, draws on the theme of equality underscoring the 1916 Proclamation and calls on all those seeking election to commit to a number of policy pledges to ensure the rights of children with special needs and their families are fully vindicated.
The DCA Warriors is a group of over 8,000 members, established in February 2012 with the aim of guaranteeing the rights of children with special needs and their families.
