Date: Wednesday, 29 September
Time: 1 – 2 pm

Raji Sourani, director of the Palestinian Centre for Human Rights, is a passionate and unreserved critic of human rights violations occurring on both sides of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. He was an Amnesty International prisoner of conscience in 1985 and 1988, and in 2013 was co-awarded the Right Livelihood Award (known as the ‘alternative Nobel peace prize’).
You are invited to hear Raji give a first-hand account of the current situation in Gaza, living under war and blockade, and he will argue for the need for accountability and justice in Gaza.
Mr Sourani’s visit to Ireland is being organised by Trócaire and Christian Aid Ireland. It is being organised at short notice due to the heavy restrictions on entering and exiting Gaza.
Places are limited so please book your seat by RSVP to joanne.slyman@trocaire.org.
Palestinian food will be provided.
