The University of Limerick, School of Law is holding a two day conference on the topic of the European Union Criminal Justice system. The Lisbon Treaty has inserted many criminal justice measures to be adopted into European Union member state domestic law. Much of this legislation is approaching its deadline for implementation and thus there is an importance for legal academics and legal practitioners to familiarise themselves with this area of law.
Speakers will include nearly thirty legal scholars from universities all over Europe and also Minister for justice and Equality Francis Fitzgerald, the Director for Public Prosecutions Claire Loftus and The Hon. Mr Justice John Edwards.
The Conference will be followed by a wine reception and a conference dinner on the Friday evening.
9 CPD Points available for this conference.
