The Immigrant Council of Ireland (ICI) is a national organisation that works with and on behalf of immigrants, promoting their rights and entitlements through information, legal representation and advocacy.
Reporting to the full-time solicitor, the part-time solicitor will assist in the implementation of a legal strategy that will provide frontline and accessible information and legal assistance to migrants.
Key activities will include the taking of cases with potential for immigration and policy reform in the area of anti-trafficking and work with vulnerable migrant women, and where necessary, assistance with the analysis of relevant national, and international law and policy to inform efforts in this regard.
Previous relevant experience and a strong commitment to ICI’s values and to Human Rights are essential.
The part-time solicitor will need to be highly committed and resourceful in their approach to the role and the development of the capability and capacity of ICI.
