The Irish Penal Reform Trust (IPRT) is Ireland's leading non-governmental organisation campaigning for the respect of human rights in the penal system, and for imprisonment to be used only as a last resort. They publish a wide range of policy and research documents; they campaign vigorously across a wide range of penal policy issues; and they are the leading independent voice in public debate on the Irish penal system.
They are now inviting applications for two Policy & Advocacy internship placements, working as part of the IPRT Team from 01 Feb to 30 June 2015.
Interns work as an integral part of the IPRT team, supporting their policy, research, advocacy and communications activities. Internships with IPRT are offered on a 5-month basis, working 17 hours a week, usually over 2.5 days. Internships are unpaid, and unfortunately IPRT is not in a position to contribute to interns’ costs of living or accommodation in Dublin.
