The Seanad Public Consultation Committee is inviting written submissions from interested groups or individuals on Ireland’s performance on the area of civil and political rights under international law.
Ireland’s Fourth Periodic Report under the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR) will be formally presented to the Human Rights Committee in July 2014 and the Seanad Select Committee is inviting public submissions on the priorities and challenges facing Ireland in complying with these obligations. The Committee will consider all written submissions and may decide to invite a number of contributors to public hearings, which will take place in the Seanad.
