Amnesty International Ireland seeks an Advocacy Officer for their Economic, Social and Cultural (ESC) Rights team, which will work to advance and protect economic, social and cultural rights in Ireland. The programme will focus on holding government to account for their international human rights obligations on ESC rights, developing and promoting human rights solutions to ESC rights issues, and building the human rights constituency.
The Advocacy Officer will focus primarily on outreach to and engagement with external stakeholders on the ESC rights programme, to develop a network of actors engaged in ESCR issues, using human rights language in their work at both local and national level, and supporting justiciable ESCR in Ireland.
Contract: Fixed term to December 2014
Salary: €32,000 depending on experience. Fixed term position that will run until December 2014.
