Date: Thursday 28th November
Venue: EU Parliament Office, Molesworth Street, Dublin 2.
Earlier this year, UNHCR published an extensive report on credibility assessment in EU asylum systems. Credibility represents a very complex and challenging area of refugee law and status determination, and the report, 'Beyond Proof-Credibility Assessment in EU Asylum Systems', looked at ways to improve the assessment of such claims and find a common understanding and approach to credibility assessment across the EU.
Fadela Novak-Irons, UNHCR Policy Officer for Europe and one of the report's authors will present its findings at a morning seminar at the EU Parliament Office, Molesworth Street, Dublin 2. The conference is expected to be an important source of information and forum for dialogue for all first instance decision-makers, judges, and other legal practitioners working with asylum-seekers and refugees.
