Cardiff Law School is seeking to appoint two Research Associate posts sponsored by the Journal of Law and Society, to contribute to the development of scholarship within the area of socio-legal studies within the School and more broadly. The appointees will be outstanding socio-legal scholars working in any area of socio-legal studies.
The Law School has established socio-legal research interests and expertise in the specialist areas of legal education and practice, law and social justice including the law relating to welfare, mental health, compensation and social security, public law including law, devolution and governance, law and development, environmental law, European and comparative legal studies including criminal justice, law and social theory. Applications from scholars able to build on these established areas of collective strength would be particularly welcome. These are full time positions, fixed term for 3 years and available from 1 September 2013. Start dates are negotiable between September 2013 and January 2014.
Salary: £30,424 to £36,298 per annum. (Grade 6)
