Discussion Seminar
Date: 25 June 2013
Time: 10am – 2pm
Location: Wood Quay Venue, Dublin City Council’s Civic Offices, Wood Quay, Dublin 8.
There are a number of challenges to working for Traveller and Roma rights in Ireland, including austerity measures at an organisational and individual level. There are also a number of opportunities, including a European push for National Roma Strategies in each Member State. This session aims to discuss the relevance of these challenges and opportunities at a national and local level. It is hoped that organisations from different sectors can discuss different ways of supporting Traveller and Roma rights within this context.
Target Groups: Travellers, Roma, Traveller organisations, Roma / migrant organisations, HSE, local authorities, family resource centres, local development projects and others who are interested in attending.
