Research Assistants, Department of Law, University College Cork – Deadline 15 March
The Research Assistants (one full-time, two year post and the second full-time, one year post) will work under the direction of Professor Ursula Kilkelly (Principal Investigator), with the Child Law Clinic, on a research project to advance children’s rights in Ireland.

Criteria
- An honours, graduate qualification in Law or Social Science.
- Research experience, including undertaking literature reviews and qualitative research methods.
- Knowledge of children’s rights/ human rights or child advocacy, and some knowledge of the Irish NGO sector in this area.
- Good report writing, presentation and computer skills.
- Previous laboratory experience and practices are desired.
- Good analytical skills and computer skills.
- An ability to work independently to a tight schedule.
- Capability of working effectively within a team to achieve results.
- Evidence of excellent organisational and communication skills.
- High levels of initiative are encouraged.
- Willingness to undertake additional training in research methods as required.
- Willingness to travel around Ireland as required.
