Law Centre for Children and Young People seeks Project Officer - Deadline 9 November

The Law Centre for Children and Young People is seeking to recruit a part-time Administrator who will provide administrative support to the law centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for all the administrative functions of the centre and will be responsible for preparing information materials and for the development of the website.
 

Overview of the Role

The Centre’s activities will be undertaken by a small staff, led by a Director who will provide the leadership, vision and direction to the organisation. The Project Officer will take responsibility for setting up the Law Centre office, undertaking all administrative functions and for the development of information materials and the Law Centre website. The successful candidate will be offered a fixed term contract for 18 months. Salary will be commensurate with experience.

 

Job Description- Project Officer - Specific Duties

The Project Officer will be responsible for the following:

 Office Management

  •   Ensuring that the premises and office facilities are equipped to run the Law Centre
  •   Undertaking all administrative duties as required by the Director
  •   Ensuring that the Law centre is meeting all Governance and legislative requirements

 Financial administration

  •  Undertaking all financial administration for the Law Centre

 Information Management

  • Co-ordinating the preparation, printing and publishing of information materials and set up and management of law centre website. 


Project Officer – Person Specification

The Project Officer will:

  • have an understanding of the challenges faced by children and young people in Ireland;
  • have the capacity to establish and develop the administrative systems of the Law Centre so that it can meet its aims;
  • be proficient in Microsoft Office applications;
  • have the necessary skills to undertake the administration of the Law Centre;
  • have a commitment to human rights and social justice issues;
  • possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
