Public Law Project (an independent, national, legal charity) aims to improve access to public law remedies for those facing poverty, discrimination or other disadvantage. It undertakes research, policy initiatives, casework and training across public law areas. Its work is carried out by a small but specialised group of staff and volunteers supported by an expert management committee. It has worked hard to merit a reputation for high quality, creative and ground-breaking legal work
PLP is seeking two experienced lawyers to work with its existing casework team.
PLP is looking for practising solicitors or barristers with significant experience of public law/judicial review litigation. The right candidates will have the ability to work innovatively and strategically in respect of the social and legal issues in public law, particularly those concerning access to justice. They will have considerable experience of public funding (‘legal aid’) and a sound understanding of other mechanisms for funding legal advice and litigation. They will be keen to develop a varied practice at PLP and be enthusiastic about working with its existing staff team.
