This Masterclass will focus on the child care law aspects of protecting asylum seeking children in care:

Using the Child Care Act 1991 and Child Care Regulations to Protect Asylum Seeking Children in Care
Invoking the Convention on the Rights of the Child and the Case Law of the ECHR in Representing Asylum Seeking Children in Care
Issues will include: The Best Interests of the Child, Accomodation & Placements, Voluntary Care, Care Planning & Reviews, Aftercare, Guardianship, the Voice of the Child, Section 47 of the Child Care Act and Legal Representation for the Child.
