PILA has published a Progress Report, giving an overview of the project and Alliance's achievements since 2009. It includes includes useful case studies that illustrate how pro bono legal services can be an effective tool for change.
This Report is not just an important snapshot of PILA's work to date - it also aims to encourage stakeholders to think about future opportunites for the Alliance, public interest law, and pro bono in Ireland.
The Progress Report was launched at an event on Friday 11 May for PILA's stakeholders. Joss Saunders, Oxfam GB General Counsel, gave an interesting and thought-provoking presentation at the event - focused on the many innovative and important ways that lawyers can undertake pro bono work for organisations.
