Older and Bolder seeks Campaigns and Outreach Officer, deadline 12 August 2011

The alliance wishes to recruit a Campaigns and Outreach Officer who will join a staff team comprising Director, Administration and Finance Manager and Campaign Researcher.

The purpose of the post is to provide outreach, campaigns and lobbying assistance to Older & Bolder to support the alliance in the achievement of our objectives. The post is temporary and is available on a 16 month fixed term contract basis from September 2011 to December 2012. Salary level will be dependent on experience and will be in the €45,000 - €50,000 range with a 10 per cent pension contribution.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Consolidating and further developing Older & Bolder's programme of outreach to older people;
  • Devising and implementing strategies to assure the inclusion of diverse groups, including those who are harder to reach, in Older & Bolder's outreach activities;
  • Collaborating with relevant networks in devising and supporting initiatives for the involvement of older people in campaigns run by the alliance;
  • Situating campaign and lobbying initiatives within relevant policy frameworks;
  • Advising on, and incorporating, inter-generational dimensions in Older & Bolder's campaigns.
