The Irish Penal Reform Trust (IPRT) is delighted to announce their involvement as co-sponsor of the Irish Association of Law Teacher's Spring Seminar, to be given this year by Prof Conor Gearty of University College London. Professor Gearty is one of the world's leading thinkers and writers on human rights.
The theme of his paper "'The Rights' Future: Exploring Dignity, Accountability, Equality and Commitment'" has a special resonance with issues facing the Irish prison system at present. As always, the IPRT look forward to a provocative and profound evening for anyone with an interest in human rights and the role of law in protecting the vulnerable in society.
