The National Centre for the Protection of Older People Seminar Series 2011 will begin on 22 of February with a seminar entitled The Legal and Policy Challenges of Financial Elder Abuse.
Professor Katherine Pearson, Elder Law and Consumer Protection Clinic, Pennsylvania State University, will speak on the "Legal implications of ambivalence in caregiver relationships". Commissioner Patricia Rickard-Clarke, the Law Reform Commission, will speak on "Financial abuse: the legal and regulatory gaps".
Refreshments will be served before the seminar and a lively discussion is expected to take place after the presentations.
