IPRT offers internship and summer placement opportunities to students and practitioners interested in, and wanting to contribute to, the work of the organisation.
We are committed to offering internship opportunities throughout the year to support our research and policy, as well as communications and campaigns activities.
Internships with IPRT are usually offered on a 5-month basis, working 20 hours a week. Shorter placements may also be offered in some circumstances, for instance where a placement can be linked to a specific project within IPRT.
Internships are unpaid, and it is important to note that IPRT will not be in a position to contribute to interns' costs of living or accommodation in Dublin. Due to the limitations on staff time and office facilities, we are only able to offer two placements at any given time.
Internships are usually carried out within specific roles/duties:
- Research & Policy
- Campaigns & Communications
- Fundraising
However, interns may be required to work within other functions, according to the needs of the organisation at a particular time.
Applications for internships running Feb-June 2011 are now invited. The deadline for applications is 15th Dec 2010. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to interview on 10th January 2011, and the successful applicant(s) will be informed within a week of interview.
