On Tuesday 5 October Michael Farrell, Senior FLAC Solicitor and member of the Irish Human Rights Commission, gave the annual Stephen Livingstone Lecture. The lecture is given in honour of Stephen Livingstone, who was Professor of Human Rights in Queen's University Belfast when he passed away in 2004. This year's lecture entitled "Keeping up with the Neighbours - Equivalence of Human Rights Protection since the Agreement", discussed the differences in human rights on both sides of the border since the Belfast Agreement and looked at the extent to which the Government in the Republic has delivered on its commitment to provide a common platform of human rights on the island of Ireland.
