Call for Lawyers: Response to Ukraine

Dear colleagues,
As you are aware, the attack on Ukraine brings with it devastating consequences for its' people. Many have been forced to flee the country and thousands of refugees have entered Ireland. With their arrival, there has been an increased need for assistance with legal services. PILA has been contacted by a number of lawyers expressing their concern and indicating their keenness to render assistance and we applaud them for this.
Accordingly, PILA would like to issue a call to you, Pro Bono Pledge Signatories, and Alliance Partners, to please reach out if you are available to provide pro bono support. Please email pila@flac.ie and indicate:
- You are willing and able to give immediate legal assistance; or
- You would like to render assistance but require some training first.
PILA plans to create a database of immediately available legal practitioners that we can contact when we receive referrals from our NGO partners. PILA will arrange training for those that request this.
