You are invited to the launch of: Contesting Economic and Social Rights in Ireland: Constitution, State and Society, 1848–2016 by Dr. Thomas Murray.  The book description is as follows:

  • Why do states constitutionalise economic and social rights?
  • Why do societies demand them?
  • Is constitutionalising such rights necessarily the best option for social movements today?

Speakers will include Kitty Holland, Social Affairs correspondent, Irish Times and Prof. Gerard Whyte, Professor of Law, Trinity College Dublin.
