The Law Society: Annual Human Rights Conference – 8 October, Dublin

This conference is presented by Law Society Professional Training, in partnership with the Human Rights Committee. It will focus primarily on human rights issues in relation to health and domestic violence, specifically within the context of the 1916 centenary.

The conference is aimed at legal practitioners, members of the public, academics, human rights organisations and civil society organisations, with a view to bringing these groups together to analyse the issues both legally and socially.

The speakers (in order of appearance) are the Hon. Mr Justice Gerard Hogan, Judge of the Court of Appeal; Margaret Murphy, External Lead Advisor, WHO Patients for Patient; Professor Deirdre Madden, Professor of Law, UCC; President Rosemary Horgan, President of the District Court; Dr Louise Crowley, Senior Lecturer in Law, UCC.
