Mercy Law Resource Centre (MLRC) provides free legal advice and representation in the areas of Social Housing and Social Welfare Law. Their upcoming training session is open to all but would be especially suitable for staff and volunteers of smaller agencies.
The session will highlight the casework undertaken by the MLRC and will explain some legal principles including freedom of information, data protection, legal aid, fair procedures and European Convention on Human Rights. There will also be a review of housing law focussing on the housing list, homelessness, rent, standards of housing, anti-social behaviour, evictions and equality.
The cost for this training is €60 per person. Places are limited so interested parties are encouraged to book a place as soon as possible.
