ICCL Universal Periodic Review Consultation – 30 July, Dublin

Ireland is due to be examined for the second time under the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) in May 2016. The second UPR will focus mainly on the effective implementation of the UPR recommendations from the first cycle in 2014.The deadline for submission of Stakeholder Reports to the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) under the Ireland’ second review is 21 September 2015. 

The Irish Council for Civil Liberties (ICCL), in partnership with the Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission (IHREC), is hosting a series of human rights consultations around Ireland. This is an opportunity for you to have your voice heard and share information about human rights issues on the ground in Ireland. The information gathered will be used in reporting to the under the second UPR.
