Solicitor, Irish Refugee Council’s Independent Law Centre – deadline 31 March 2015

The IRC is recruiting a solicitor with the commitment and motivation to work as an integral part of a small dedicated team.

The Irish Refugee Council’s Independent Law Centre offers legal services to those in need of international protection. The Law Centre is the legal services division of the Irish Refugee Council (IRC), a registered charity. We provide free early legal advice and representation to those in the initial stages of the asylum process. In doing so, we have demonstrated a different model of legal representation for asylum seekers and refugees in Ireland which is regarded highly by all relevant stakeholders. We also provide advice and representation at other stages of the asylum process to vulnerable asylum seekers and refugees with no alternate access to legal representation and in strategic cases.  The solicitor reports to, and works under the supervision of, the Law Centre’s Senior Solicitor and in accordance with the policies of the IRC.

Closing date for receipt of completed applications is 5pm on Tuesday 31st March 2015.
