UK launches first video-based online Free Legal Advice Centre

The UK has introduced a new video-based online legal service. The service provides users with consumer and legal advice purely by video.

Law firms approach the website to include legal advice videos on the site. The Free Legal Advice Centre gives consumers a chance to connect with lawyers through the videos which cover all of the legal disciplines. At the same time, the service gives law firms a chance to advertise their services. To date a large number of firms have uploaded legal advice videos to the site. An additional 70 firms have expressed an interest in uploading videos to the site.

Dez Derry the CEO of mmadigital explains: “We expected the Free Legal Advice Centre to attract some early interest but have been surprised to see quite how far reaching that interest has been. We have had enquiries from across the UK with law firms really waking up to the importance of generating leads online.  Whilst it has been a slow process of change and modernisation for the sector, the initial excitement over our new web service shows that the status quo is changing and more firms are realising the potential of digital marketing to engage with new audiences.”

The content of the website is only limited by what the law firms provide so future expansion of the website could lead to the creation of a comprehensive video library offering legal advice on a wide range of subjects.
