Irish Refugee Council - Celebrating World Refugee Day – 20 June, Dublin

Location: Studio Six, Temple Bar Gallery, Dublin 2

Date: 20 June 2014

As you know it won’t be long until World Refugee Day, a time for celebration. This day honours the courage, strength and determination of women, men and children who are forced to flee their homeland under threat of persecution, conflict and violence. It is also a time to acknowledge their contribution to Irish society and culture.

On the 20th June the Irish Refugee Council will be marking this important day with Geoffrey Shannon, Special Rapporteur on Child Protection, the young people we work with and advocates from our Independent Advocacy programme. We will also take this opportunity to reflect on the success of the Advocacy programme by launching its evaluation and resource guide for service providers working with separated children in Ireland.

We warmly welcome you to attend this event in Studio Six, in the Temple Bar Gallery, 5/9 Temple Bar, Dublin 2 at 6pm on Friday 20th June 2014. If you can attend I would ask that you RVSP to caroline@irishrefugeecouncil.ie.
