University College of Cork – Senior Lectureship in Law – deadline 15 April

UCC wishes to appoint a Senior Lecturer in Law to commence in September 2014.  Reporting to Head of Department and Dean of the Faculty of Law, the postholder must demonstrate proven excellence in teaching and a high level of research achievement.  The postholder will be required to teach under the direction of the Head of Department, hold administrative roles and be actively engaged in research.  S/he will be expected to make a full contribution to the Department’s programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and to play a major part in developing research. 

While applications are welcome from those with expertise in any legal field, we have particular needs in the following areas:

  • Criminal Law
  • International Human Rights
  • Private International Law
  • Business Law
  • Law & Technology (including Intellectual Property)
