TONIGHT - Refugee and Immigration Practitioners’ Network present Omar v Governor of Cloverhill prison – 9 April, Dublin

Colman Fitzgerald SC and Rebecca Broderick BL will deliver the next presentation of the Refugee and Immigration Practitioners’ Network entitled 'Deportation orders, the dwelling and Constitutional law: exploring Omar v Governor of Cloverhill Prison [2013] IEHC 579'.

The presentation will consider the issues and possible consequences of the Omar decision in which Hogan J found that the manner in which Gardai entered a house to effect a deportation order was unlawful. Colman and Rebecca acted for the applicant in the case.  A copy of the decision is available here.

The event will take place on Wednesday the 9th April 2014 at 6.30pm in the Blue Room at the Law Society, Blackhall Place. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be served. All welcome. Please circulate to those who may be interested.
