Fundraising Officer , Irish Refugee Council – Deadline 25 January

Fundraising Officer (part-time)

Reporting to CEO

Salary €15,000 – €20,000 p.a. (€30,000 – €40,000 p.a. pro rata) depending upon experience.

The Irish Refugee Council is the only national NGO specialising in work with and for asylum seekers and refugees. It is currently funded principally by two philanthropic organisations and does not receive any state funds. The organisation employs 11 staff, most of whom are funded by funds made available without restriction.

Fundraising is a constant issue facing the organisation and one that will become even more significant when one of our two major funders closes at the end of 2013. For that reason the IRC wishes to appoint a Fundraising Officer to source and secure alternative funds to take the organisation into 2014 and beyond. It is hoped that the successful candidate will start work as soon as possible in 2013.

Application is by way of an application form (below) to be submitted with a covering letter and CV no later than Friday 25th January 2013 by 5 p.m. (GMT) – Please note that this deadline has been extended. Applicants must have the right to work in the Republic of Ireland. Applications submitted through a recruitment agency will not be valid and neither will applications by way of CV alone.
