The European Court of Human Rights publishes its Guide to Case-law on specific Articles of the Convention

The European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) has recently started to publish a series of studies on its jurisprudence relating to specific Articles of the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR), known as the Guide to Case-law.

The Guide to Case-law is an additional informative tool about the Convention, alongside its information notes, fact sheets, the admissibility guide and the research reports.

The right to liberty in Article 5 ECHR is the first guide now available online.

The Guide provides a very detailed overview of Article 5 ECHR.  It also provides the reader with direct links to case-law relevant to Article 5 ECHR.

The ECtHR has announced that similar guides on other Convention Articles will follow soon.
