UN releases Ireland’s UPR stakeholder report

The Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights has published its summary of the 60 stakeholder submissions it received from NGOs and other organisations as part of Ireland's Universal Periodic Review (UPR). The UPR will take place at the UN Human Rights Council in October.

The summary includes mention of a variety of issues by a number of NGOs and other organisations, for example the FLAC submission that the impact of over-indebtedness on people in Ireland is resulting in a risk of homelessness.

Regular readers of the bulletin will recall the Irish Government's national report was submitted to the UPR last month. FLAC has issued a response to the Irish Government's national report.
