Internship & Professional Placements Irish Human Rights Commission, deadline 30 April 2011

The IHRC regularly offers internships and professional placements to people who wish to work or are working in the field of human rights. The internship programme provides work-placements to people who have completed relevant studies to postgraduate level. The professional placement programme offers opportunities for professionals on an unremunerated basis.

The IHRC is currently seeking applications to work in the Enquiries and Legal Services Division. Applications should be submitted by 30 April 2011. An internship or professional placement in this area would expose the successful applicants to a diverse range of human rights issues within the legal and investigative functions of the Commission. This position is particularly suitable for persons who wish to add to their legal experience on human rights issues at the domestic level and examine the practical application of international and regional human rights standards within domestic law and policy, in furtherance of the Commission's key strategic goals.
