Pamodzi Promoting Rule of Law Quarterly Meeting 15 March 2011

Each year Trocaire use their Lenten Campaign to highlight an issue of global concern. This year the theme is 'Impunity', and they are throwing the spotlight on a village in Honduras where there is high incidence of land grabbing by large multinationals.

Two young human rights defenders and community leaders with the United Peasants Movement of Aguán (MUCA) from the Aguán valley in Northern Honduras are visiting Ireland to tell their story of land injustice, and the effect it has on poverty and human rights. Juan and Rudy will be speaking at Pamodzi's next Quarterly Meeting on Tuesday 15 March 2011 at 6pm in The Law Society, Blackhall Place.

Pamodzi's Quarterly Meetings are open to all, and are the perfect forum to contribute on any matter of Rule of Law, put forward project proposals or merely flesh out ideas. Land rights and reform have been high on our agenda for some time now and Pamodzi hope this meeting will encourage further dialogue among their members.
